Lads' Narrative Idea

Hi,

We will have the storyboard idea and plan to you tomorrow for definite, but here is a rough outline of the story (still to be refined). The lads are very keen on Dave's suggestion but there are slight alterations.

Narrative

Using real film footage the lads are playing tag, doing their moves etc around the outside of a building and then they reach the roof. (fire escape type environments, run down, derelict buildings...) Matt is the master figure and the others students. They all stop as the sky starts to darken and they realise a comet is heading straight for them, it hits the building and they fall inwards through the roof. This is where it switches to a virtual environment. They are falling through floors with debris flying everywhere, occasionally glimpses of the firey sky show through the cracks. Matt manages to tic tac off a wall into a room, the students attempt this but end up grabbing a rope instead and fall into the room. Immeadiately they start to run as the walls are crumbling, they jump over obstacles. They get onto another floor, the master is cautious but the students bound into the space- tic tacing etc, they run to the edge and stop suddenly as there is a big drop down now that the building has fallen away. The camera pans down highlighting the big drop, they are shocked for a moment but then continue to run - want to find a way out. As the building starts to burn they are running from the flames which causes them to make a jump out of a huge window to a big drop below. The sky is burning and bright, smake and dereliction all around. The jumps could be in slow motion. They all get up and walk off with the master in front.

Unfortunately I can't make the meeting this afternoon as I have teaching commitments but if you have any questions I will try to check this blog and reply or you could ring the school and I will take the call.

Hope the story is ok it will adapt and be extended once the lads provide an updated version tomorrow and we welcome your views and advice. Thanks...
