Result

Hi Matt,

Very well done!!! If you don't already realise it you have achieved a result some professionals strive for. To animate an established logo (without permission) and then get the green light is a BIG achievement. Very professionally handled, I'm proud of you!

Keep that professionalism going and you'll go far.

  1. cool, thanks. Just sent a follow up e-mail asking if they would have a use for it in the future for any motion/online submissions... Dip the toes before asking them to give me money for it :)

Got a meeting tonight about that band's album design so should make a bundle on that if his budget's ok (got to get paid for something!)

  2. Got that job, £400 for all the print design (covers, posters etc.) and we're discussing a music video.

...just got a summer brief off Paul. Has Dave 'sci-fi' Woods set this one?...

    ---------------------------------

    The brief
Create a striking new look for the “Space Opera” book series.

    Target audience
Readers of science fiction and fantasy novels : traditionally this broad male audience
aged 15-80 ) has been a group of closet sci-fi junkies – we want you to make them come out and be proud!

(not sure how to take that last phrase haha)

  3. Nope nothing to do with me, but if you need to do some primary research into 40+ year old sci-fi freaks then I'll happily introduce you to some of my mates. But be warned they are HARDCORE (and relentless). To be honest I could do with a break from their space bollocks so please talk to them! '-)

Well done on the job. I see a bright future. Just remember me when you're earning big bucks on big projects :-)

  4. I think I'll pass on that thanks. me and shell had a run in with a comic book guy at a stall at the cinema once (like off the simpsons but he looked like curly watts off corrie from years ago, odd). I only wanted an iron man comic and I ended up buying 5 and being invited to a convention 'for real fans' after a long chat about a figurine that was painted the wrong colour but worth more, or something. That was scarier than the horror film we went to watch.

    I need to sleep more
